Not everything in a peptide catalog is a peptide.

Small molecules, proteins, cofactors and formulations need accurate labels.

Small molecules, proteins, cofactors and formulations need accurate labels.

Use the right material category.

Research catalogs may place related materials beside peptides because they appear in similar procurement workflows. That does not make every listed substance a peptide. Accurate classification helps avoid misleading descriptions and unsuitable comparisons.

Read individual entries.

NAD+, selected small molecules and laboratory solutions have their own identity and documentation requirements. Protein materials and multi-component formulations also require a clear description of what is being offered.

Do not let navigation replace identity.

Research-area categories are browsing aids, not proof of mechanism, suitability or regulatory status. Check the individual material entry and the approved specification. Where a commercial name is ambiguous, resolve it before quotation.

Questions to carry into the enquiry

  • Which exact material and form are being requested?
  • Which documents support the attributes that matter to this project?
  • What remains to be confirmed before a quotation is approved?
